Can we pray for you?

We are praying for Lanark.  Can we pray for you?

The Bridge Church is a mix of people, varying in age and background, in pursuit of God. Our lives have been changed through relationship with Jesus and we want others to know what He’s done for us.

Please let us know you would like prayer or if you would like to talk about relationship with Jesus.

For prayer or more information about knowing God, call us on 07845 871639 or check out our website for more details.

Small Group: some ways to prepare for our time together

Our small groups are a time of looking at scripture together in a group environment where there is the opportunity to share and discuss what we’re learning. Its also a time for prayer and ministry to one another.

Next time we’ll be looking at 1 John 4:7-16 (Romans 8:31-39). Consider the following questions:

  1. What verses is God highlighting to me and why?
  2. How can I pray into what God is showing me?
  3. How can I apply what I am learning in daily life?

Small groups typically meet in the church cafe every two weeks so please get in touch or check the website “events” to confirm. If you are interested in joining us or have any questions please call 07845871639.

Got questions about faith? Ask at Alpha.

Alpha is a series of weekly sessions where you can explore the Christian faith in an open-minded and welcoming environment.

There’s no cost, and no pressure. Just lots of great conversation and space to think.

Each session includes a short talk and time of discussion where you can share your thoughts about what you’ve heard.

Whatever questions you’ve got, you can ask them at Alpha.

Please call 07845 871639 to express your interest or for any questions.

Be sure to check out the free Ebook “Why Jesus” by Nicky Gumbel of Alpha.

If you would like to visit The Bridge Church we would love for you to join us!

Below are details regarding church gatherings.

-Due to road closures and access the church can only be accessed through the front cafe entrance until further notice (for directions to the church click here).

-Families are welcome! Click here for details of what’s happening with primary school children and youth. We do not currently have a programme for preschool children but they are welcome to stay in the service!  If a child is struggling to be in the service, we have an adjoining room where they can play with their parent who will be able to hear the service through a speaker.

-For those unable to attend in person, we will continue to stream the teaching from our Sunday service through FaceBook Live on our church FB page and this can be accessed around 11:45 am. It will also remain available to view at a later time.

-Please check our website latest and events sections to keep in informed regarding other church activities throughout the week and contact us for further details.

We hope to see you soon!

Access to building through front (cafe) entrance only

We are pleased to let you know that the derelict “Royal Oak Hotel” behind our parking lot is being converted into flats. The project supervisor is in regular contact with us regarding details and has been very helpful. Some of the changes will benefit the church in the long run.

However, there are some implications with such a project and this is primarily regarding road closures and access. Accordingly, there will be no access to the parking lot or rear entrance and the church will be accessed through the front cafe entrance until further notice (for directions to the church click here). Please let us know if you have any questions.

Free transport from Lanark to Franklin Graham and the “God Loves You Tour” in Glasgow on 22nd June

Please contact us if you would like to sign up for free transport.

Free Christian Life and Witness Course at Kirkstyle Baptist Church in Carluke (23rd May at 7pm)

The Christian Life and Witness Course helps Christians grasp key biblical principles that form a solid foundation for their faith. Using Scripture to answer common questions, the training team leaders show how to build a victorious Christian life and share the abundance of that life with others.

The Christian Life and Witness Course is open to anyone age 13 and older; however, teens are encouraged to attend the youth evangelism training called Pursuit. Classes are taught by BGEAC instructors at various locations.

Following the Christian Life and Witness Course, many participants will have the joy of leading people to Christ for the first time. Completion of the Christian Life and Witness Course, and submission of an acceptable application, qualifies people to serve as counselors at BGEAC events. Those who attend the course, however, are not obligated to be a counselor at a BGEAC event.

In addition to the easy-to-follow lesson presentations, home assignments deepen the learning experience. Course attendees complete a short Bible study and memorize key verses. This comprehensive approach deepens the Christian faith of those who attend.

FaceBook Live-Sundays

FaceBook Live: We stream the message from our Sunday worship service through FaceBook Live on our church FB page and this can be accessed around 11:45 am.

This means anyone (including those without a FB account) can access the live stream and join us by searching for The Bridge Lanark Facebook-Home. If you can’t join us live, the video is posted on the page and can be watched later.

If you have a FB account and want to be notified when we upload anything, be sure to “like” and “follow” the page so you will be notified when we do this. If you have friends who may be interested please invite them along!

Here are some things  you can do your end to ensure you can see and hear with minimal issues.

  1. Using a hardwired computer (rather than a wireless device) should help with any internet issues you may have at home
  2. If you have an issue while streaming – try switching to a different device to see how it works e.g. move from a iPhone to a laptop etc
  3. Use your faster or newest computer as CPU power can make a difference
  4. If you only have wireless – ensure you have the strongest signal in your house e.g. as close to the wireless router as possible.

There are many factors involved in video streaming. Both on our Facebook live streaming side and on the viewer’s side (connectivity, device) that determines what type of experience the viewer will have. Be mindful that many other churches are streaming and using the internet on Sunday mornings and this volume has an impact on live stream.
