FireStarters youth weekend

November 2nd-4th the Bridge Church hosted a FireStarters weekend.  Its was great to have them with us and to see all that God is doing in the lives of the youth who attended.  Part of the time included several outreaches into Lanark.  We were blessed to have them with us!

FireStarters began as part of Kings Kids/YWAM, and became a separate charity in 2002. They write, “We have a Passion for God and we love to worship Him, learn from His Word and have meaningful relationships and communication with Him in prayer.”

“Friendships are built through a culture of honour, trust and fun. We share God’s love by going into the community and serving the local Church.”

Holy Spirit Encounter Day

Many thanks to Andy Hall who led us in a Holy Spirit encounter day with teaching and prayer ministry in a worship led environment (worship led by Phillip Anderson and Esther Franklin).  Let us know if you would like more details about similar events in the future.

Ellel Ministries-The Healing Heart of God

The Bridge Church was pleased to host a weekend with Ellel Ministries-The Healing Heart of God.

It was a great time of teaching and prayer ministry.  We would like to thank the Ellel team and the others who helped make this weekend possible.

Let us know if you would like more details about similar events in the future.

STREAMS Ministries: Understanding Dreams and Visions

It was great to host the course “Understanding Dreams and Visions” with Streams Ministries and we would like to express our thanks to all who contributed to the time together.

An evening with John E. Thomas

John E. Thomas ministered at the church on October 9th and it was great to have him with us again.

John and Dawna Thomas were radically saved out of the drug culture in 1996. Personally mentored by John Paul Jackson, they’ve been on staff with or have worked alongside Streams Ministries since 2004. John pastored The Bridge Metrowest (planted by John Paul) for five years before he and Dawna stepped out into full-time itinerant ministry. After John Paul passed away, John began to work more closely with the Streams leadership team and in 2016 was asked to become the president of Streams Ministries.

What do your dreams tell you?

We recently had  a “Dream lab” with Heather Sutherland where we learned more about how God speaks through dreams (see flyer for more details).  On November 23rd-25th we will be hosting a course with Streams Ministries about understanding dreams and visions and its a great opportunity to learn more in this area.

Prayerwalking in Lanark

A group from the church recently went for a prayerwalk around Lanark as part of the prayer call from Pray for Scotland with the “Your Kingdom Come” initiative.  It was a great time to pray for our community and be part of a larger call to prayer.  We will do more prayerwalking in the days ahead.  Please contact Michael if you would like more information.

Ministry with Duncan Graham

It was great to have Duncan Graham and his son Jono with us during his visit from New Zealand. Duncan is an advisor to the church and we have appreciated his ministry over the years. We appreciated the way they ministered God’s heart during their visit.
